The Baltimore Spirits Company focuses on only the highest expression of American spirits-making, using old world fermentation and distillation techniques. Their spirits redefine expectations for craft distilling, without being pretentious. They are inspired by Baltimore’s pride in its history, music, sports, cuisine, arts, and humanity, and aim to bring the culture of Rye Whiskey and world class spirits manufacturing back to Maryland.

The Challenge:
Baltimore Spirits Company approached us with their beloved original logo, which no longer aligned with their evolved brand identity. They desired a more polished and sophisticated image. Collaborating with owner Max Lents, who has a strong affinity for the golden ratio, we faced the task of preserving these proportions while updating the logo.
The Solution:
Utilizing the existing package design we had created and preserving the iconic Baltimore Shot Tower we developed a renewed and refined concept. This involved incorporating clean lines and vintage typography, reminiscent of a significant period in Baltimore's history associated with Rye Whiskey, all, of course, while maintaining the golden ratio.

The Challenge:
In the early days of Baltimore Spirits Company (Baltimore Whiskey Company back then), they utilized uniform bottles for all their spirits. These bottles featured a single color screen printed design that was tailored to each specific spirit. However, as the company progressed and expanded, they recognized the importance of establishing distinct brand identities for each of their spirits. To achieve this, we embarked on a journey to create unique label designs and employ diverse bottle shapes for each individual product.
The Solution:
This strategic decision has resulted in each spirit possessing its own distinctive presence, allowing them to shine independently. When these bottles are viewed collectively, they form a visually captivating collection. The attention to detail exhibited in the label designs, coupled with the assortment of bottle shapes, contributes to an overall impressive display that showcases their commitment to excellence and creativity.
